Welcome to the Parks and
Recreation Department
Porter Moore
is the Interim Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Sandwich. For
any programs or registrations please contact the parks and Recreation office
directly at (603) 284-6473. The Parks & Recreation Committee
meets the second Tuesday of each month at Town Hall at 7:00 P.M. Thank you,
for all your support of the staff, volunteers and programs over the last
year. We are expanding our program offerings, and upgrading several of our
facilities and working towards making Sandwich the best for you and your
family. The Town of
Sandwich recreation programs are available to all Town Residents. While we do
try to accommodate some activities free of charge to Residents, there are
some programs that involve minimal fees and other costs. It is the Town’s
policy that no townspeople will be excluded from participation in these
Activities based on their ability to pay. Please Inquire with the program
leader, coach, Recreation Director, or Board of Selectmen’s office for
additional details. We are here
to help enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Sandwich and to
foster a sense of community by providing recreational, cultural, and
educational programs and services. Individuals with disabilities who are
interested in participating in any Parks and Recreation Department’s
existing programs should contact the Department at (603) 284.6473. The Town
does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission, access,
treatment or employment in its programs or activities. We are
currently taking enrollments for 2010 programs. It was approved in January,
2009 that all recreation programs will have a $10 fee. These fees will
help offset the cost of the programs we offer. Any resident or tax
payer unable to afford such fees will be able to participate per town
policy. Anyone who
participates in any Sandwich Recreation Department’s programs must sign
a Waiver and the program's Registration Form. All programs are open to
residents. Got any
